I find myself ducking into my room, tuning into the Weather Channel to follow the path of Katrina.
She made landfall near Fort Lauderdale last night, dumping rain across the south end of Florida, causing power outages to over 1 million homes (including the DeFries family) and killing 5 people. Katrina is currently over the Gulf of Mexico moving North toward the panhandle.
Here in Orlando it’s cloudy and grey but we have not had a lot of rain. It looks like Katrina will pass us by and I will have no problem getting home tomorrow.
PS: If you haven’t figured it out yet, I’m here.
